Learn fundamental skills for overcoming dating and social anxiety in a group of like-minded peers.  Soothe and face your fears through mindfulness meditations, cognitive behavioral exercises, role-play, and other gentle-yet-challenging group activities, all with the support of a social anxiety specialist.  Group topics include:

  • Dating and Social Anxiety – What is it and Why Do I Have It?
  • Soothing Anxiety – Mindfulness and Other Anxiety-Reduction Techniques
  • Adopting a Low-Anxiety Lifestyle – How Anxiety’s Allergic to Self-Care
  • Inner Critic Be Gone! – Shifting from Self-Hatred to Self-Love
  • Don’t Believe Everything You Think – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Anxiety
  • Digging Deeper – Healing the Historical Roots of Relationship Anxiety
  • Befriending Small Talk – Building Your Dating and Social Skills
  • The Only Way Out Is Through – Role-Playing and Other Forms of Exposure Therapy

About the Facilitator: Jessica Engle, MFT #81850 is a therapist and coach who helps singles, socially anxious adults, and couples relate with greater ease. She graduated from the California Institute of Integral Studies with an M.A. in Counseling Psychology, emphasis Drama Therapy.  Since 2010, Jessica has used evidence-based, experiential, and creative approaches to help hundreds gain social and romantic satisfaction.
